STS NoMorePly Fibre Cement Board 1200 x 600 x 6mm
High Performance Tile Backing Systems.
Fibre Cement provides a solid and durable surface on which to tile. For years we have believed that Fibre Cement is the industry standard when it comes to tile backing and that traditional methods such as plywood or plasterboards are no longer fit for purpose. This has recently been highlighted by a change in the British Standards advising not to tile on these substrates but rather use an appropriate tile backing board.
The strength of Fibre Cement means you can have minimal build-up on floors and walls without compromising on strength or integrity of the substrate. To give some idea of strength our 6mm PrePrimed NoMorePly compares 18mm plywood but comes with the added benefits of less fixings, no step into the tiled area, and with it being waterproof, it doesn?t weaken or warp when damp. All these benefits of Fibre Cement mean we can offer the fastest fit system, backed up by a lifetime guarantee.
As well as over-boarding systems, we also offer a unique, structural T&G product. This product, available in both 18mm and 22mm thickness, fixes direct to joist and meets the requirements of most UK floors.

Cutting Guide:
For 6mm boards in a tile backing situation, we would recommend our Scoring & Snap Tool.
For other thicknesses, due to the density of the boards, we recommend using an STS PCD Blade (poly crystalline diamond) which are designed for use on fibre cement. They have 5 or 6 diamond tipped teeth which reduce dust and keep the blade cool resulting in it lasting much longer and getting a clean-cut finish.
Priming and Tanking
Certain applications would benefit from an additional waterproofing process such as priming or tanking. Please view these products here or call for advice on your specific project
